Wilmington

The port city of Wilmington, North Carolina is situated between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. It is the county seat of New Hanover County and is the eighth largest city in North Carolina. Wilmington was originally settled along the river by Europeans in the 1720's and later became incorporated as a city in 1739.
